GDB
GDB is a popular open-source debugging program developed by gnu (link:http://www.gnu.org). However, because of the way that EmStar is designed, there are a couple of things to be aware of when using this tool.
Wrappers
strace, Valgrind and ltrace are useful wrappers that you can use to trace and debug your programs.
linkdump
Linkdump is a tool developed by the EmStar team to parse and display packets received and transmitted. It can be used in simulation and deployment.
flashall and tosinstall
flashall and tosinstall are used to burn mote images on to the motes installed on the ceiling of the CENS lab.
